Description

These cookies feature crispy edges and gooey centers, loaded with rich chocolate for a bakery-style treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chocolate chips (semisweet and dark)
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
  2. In another bowl, beat together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and melted butter until creamy.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
  4. Cover the dough and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, form balls of dough, placing them on the tray with enough space in between.
  7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown while still soft in the center.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough to achieve that thick bakery-style texture. Mix in nuts or spices for variations.
