Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large eggs
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups chocolate chips (semisweet and dark)
- 14 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- In another bowl, beat together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and melted butter until creamy.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- Cover the dough and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Using a cookie scoop, form balls of dough, placing them on the tray with enough space in between.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown while still soft in the center.
- Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough to achieve that thick bakery-style texture. Mix in nuts or spices for variations.
