Description

Savory, sweet, and satisfying sticky chicken rice bowls that are quick to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, diced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat a pan over medium heat and add the diced chicken. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, approximately 7-10 minutes.
  3. Combine: Pour the sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Serve: Spoon the sticky chicken over the cooked rice, and finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Feel free to swap out the rice for quinoa or cauliflower rice, and try marinating the chicken for an hour before cooking for enhanced flavors.
