Description

Easy and rewarding homemade pizza sauce without preservatives. Perfect for any type of pizza!


Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ tablespoon garlic salt
  • 12 tablespoons dried oregano (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the tomato paste and tomato sauce until smooth.
  2. Add the dried oregano, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic salt, black pepper, and sugar.
  3. Stir thoroughly to ensure that all the seasonings are evenly mixed into the sauce.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust any seasonings according to your preference.
  5. Spread the sauce over your chosen pizza dough before baking.

Notes

Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Adjust spices to taste.
