- 1 loaf of bread (cubed)
- 2 cups of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Butter (for greasing)
- Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Layer the bread cubes in the baking dish and sprinkle the blueberries on top.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and blueberries, ensuring all bread is soaked.
- Allow it to sit for 15 minutes to absorb.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Use day-old bread for the best texture. Substitute with other berries or add chopped nuts/chocolate chips for variation.
