Description

Juicy chicken wings glazed in a sweet and tangy pineapple-teriyaki sauce, perfect for game day or summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated in the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and set a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated wings on the rack.
  4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until they are crispy and golden.
  5. If desired, thicken the remaining marinade in a saucepan with cornstarch and brush over the cooked wings. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

For quick preparation, marinate wings for even 30 minutes if you’re short on time. Preheating is crucial for crispiness.
