Ingredients

  • 12 slices of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread a generous layer of pesto sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On one slice, layer your cheese, ensuring it’s nestled right against the pesto side. Top it with the second slice of bread, pesto side facing in.
  4. Butter the outer sides of both slices of bread.
  5. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Carefully slice the sandwich and serve warm.
