Description

Delicious cookies that combine oats and honey for a healthy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and honey until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well integrated.
  4. In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  6. Fold in raisins or chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag.
