Description

A comforting one-dish meal combining ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (your choice)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: vegetables like green beans or corn

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the diced onion over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  4. Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly over the potatoes.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top generously.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for approximately 1 hour.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding herbs like thyme or rosemary, and try mixing in different cheeses for a unique twist.
