Description
A warm, cheesy dip made with sausage, cream cheese, and a blend of cheeses that’s perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 10 oz can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley or green onions (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain any excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir in the cooked sausage along with the drained Rotel, sharp cheddar, and mozzarella cheese. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly combined.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
Notes
For a creamier dip, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream. Adjust spice level with cayenne pepper or add jalapeños for extra heat.
