Description

A warm, cheesy dip made with sausage, cream cheese, and a blend of cheeses that’s perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 10 oz can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain any excess grease.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in the cooked sausage along with the drained Rotel, sharp cheddar, and mozzarella cheese. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly combined.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

For a creamier dip, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream. Adjust spice level with cayenne pepper or add jalapeños for extra heat.
