Description

Delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional hash browns made with sweet potatoes, packed with vitamins and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes and grate them using a box grater or food processor.
  2. Place the grated sweet potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess moisture.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the grated sweet potatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  5. Press down the mixture to create a uniform layer and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the bottom is crispy and golden brown.
  6. Carefully flip the hash browns in sections and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until they are crispy.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Ensure to squeeze out moisture for crispiness. You can customize flavors with spices like paprika or cayenne pepper.
