Description

A delightful chocolate treat that combines the rich texture of brownies with the form of cookies, great for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually stir this mixture into the creamed butter and sugar until well blended.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For a twist, use dark chocolate chips or sprinkle sea salt on top before baking. To keep them fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
