Description

Light and fluffy pancakes that are perfect for breakfast or brunch, easily customizable with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: maple syrup, fruit, or toppings of your choice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and melted butter until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined; do not overmix!
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  7. Enjoy your pancakes warm, drizzled with syrup or topped with your favorites!

Notes

For extra fluffiness, let the batter rest for about 5 minutes before cooking. A few lumps in the batter are okay.
