Description

Delicious and soft oatmeal cookies that are simple to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the quick oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each scoop.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
