- 1 cup quick oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the quick oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each scoop.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
