Description

A tender and flavorful banana bread recipe that’s perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  6. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently to combine.
  7. Add the flour and stir just until it disappears.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute the egg with 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce. Allow the bread to cool before slicing for the best texture.
