- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently to combine.
- Add the flour and stir just until it disappears.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute the egg with 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce. Allow the bread to cool before slicing for the best texture.
