A quick and easy homemade pizza sauce that’s fresh and flavorful, perfect for pizza lovers.
Ingredients

- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tbsp sugar
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Cook until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, salt, sugar, dried basil, and dried oregano. Pour in the water and mix well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer, uncovered, for about 20-25 minutes until thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes. Use fresh herbs for a more intense flavor.
