Description
A delightful blend of tender chicken breasts and a creamy garlic sauce that turns a simple weeknight dinner into something special.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream, gently stirring to deglaze the pan. Add Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes to heat through and soak up the sauce.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for an hour or add red pepper flakes for spice.
