Description

A comforting bowl of creamy Cajun chicken and rice, perfect for family dinners or impressing friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rice according to the package instructions.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning, along with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest before slicing.
  5. In that same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese; stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Serve the sliced Cajun chicken over the cooked rice, drizzling the creamy sauce on top.
  7. Finish with a garnish of chopped parsley and enjoy every bite!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in Cajun seasoning for a few hours or overnight. You can also substitute chicken with shrimp or sautéed mushrooms for variations.
