Description

A comforting dish of steak and cheese tortellini enveloped in a creamy, flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let it rest.
  2. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring, then gradually add parmesan until creamy.
  4. Slice the rested steak into bite-sized pieces and add tortellini and steak to the sauce, tossing gently.
  5. Serve topped with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

For lighter options, use chicken instead of steak or substitute heavy cream with coconut milk.
