Description

Delicious cookies featuring the magical combination of Oreos and buttery dough, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 Oreo cookies (plus 23 more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Crush 10 Oreos in a ziplock bag until no large pieces remain.
  3. Cream together the room-temperature butter and white sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
  4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
  7. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.
  8. Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and form it into balls, placing them 2 inches apart on the baking trays.
  9. Push a few extra crushed Oreo pieces on top of each cookie dough ball.
  10. Bake cookies for about 11 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.
  11. Let the cookies cool slightly before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, you can chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
