- 1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 Oreo cookies (plus 2–3 more for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
- Crush 10 Oreos in a ziplock bag until no large pieces remain.
- Cream together the room-temperature butter and white sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.
- Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and form it into balls, placing them 2 inches apart on the baking trays.
- Push a few extra crushed Oreo pieces on top of each cookie dough ball.
- Bake cookies for about 11 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool slightly before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, you can chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
