Description

A timeless classic that warms the heart with its moist crumb and unmistakable banana flavor, perfect for breakfast or a light dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the honey and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture; stir to blend.
  6. Add the flour and mix gently until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for approximately 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool before slicing.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas. You can substitute honey with brown sugar or maple syrup.
