Description

A warm, freshly baked dessert filled with the comforting aromas of honey and cinnamon. Perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the egg, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is combined.
  4. Gently stir in the flour, salt, and half of the cinnamon until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar with the remaining cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  7. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw at room temperature or microwave for a few seconds.
