Description

A comforting and easy-to-make banana bread rich with chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt, combining thoroughly.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is homogenous.
  6. Stir in the flour until just incorporated—be careful not to overmix!
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas and avoid overmixing the batter.
