Description

A flavorful twist on the classic sloppy joes, made with ground chicken and Cajun seasoning for a quick and delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and aromatic.
  3. Stir in the ground chicken along with the Cajun seasoning. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Mix in the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, adding salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  5. Load the mixture onto burger buns and enjoy!

Notes

For a hint of sweetness, add a spoonful of brown sugar to the sauce. Toasting the buns adds extra crunch.
