Description

Warm and chewy cookies with a delightful blend of brown sugar and cinnamon, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the pan for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Don’t overmix the dough. Use room temperature butter for easier creaming.
