Description

A healthier take on the classic fried pickles, these air-fried snacks offer a crispy, tangy delight perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Dill pickles (slices or spears)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice your pickles into bite-sized spears or rounds.
  3. Set up your breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix cornmeal with your seasonings in the last bowl.
  4. Coat each pickle slice in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat with the cornmeal mixture.
  5. Lay the coated pickles in a single layer in your air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry the pickles for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Make sure your pickles are well-drained for the best crispy texture. For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper to the cornmeal.
